The Landscape Contractors Association of NSW & ACT Ltd (Name Change to Landscape NSW & ACT in 2011) was formed in 1979 with an aim to raise the public perception of the Landscape Industry via increased quality in landscape construction works. Instrumental in the development of the first and then subsequent tailored and now nationally recognised landscape specific trade and diploma courses, Landscape NSW & ACT (LNA) is enmeshed in governmental dialogue in furthering career paths for young industry professionals.
The LNA has seen innovative changes in technique on landscape sites and has encouraged its Membership to advance work practices through changing technologies. It was LNA Members who constructed and regenerated many well known landscape sites around greater Sydney and within our nations' capital. The Association, now highly regarded has earned the respect of the construction industry, government bodies and other associated professionals.
The launch of recent name change of The Landscape Contractors Association of NSW & ACT to Landscape NSW & ACT and the office premises relocation from Bankstown to Parramatta CBD was acknowledged with a cutting of the ribbon ceremony officially opening the new office by Cllr John Chedid, Lord Mayor of Parramatta Municipal Council.
The Landscape NSW & ACT Ltd will further the professional and personal growth of its members and promote quality landscape services.
A VIP Sponsors Luncheon was held at the new headquarters, 456 Church Street, Parramatta on Friday 18th March 2011, to acknowledge our long term sponsors including Andreasens Green Wholesale Nurseries, Universal Magazines, Nationwide Insurance Brokers, MCA Business, Education and Training as well as new sponsorship partners, which include WesTrac and Alpine Nurseries. The event was to highlight the importance and significance of supporting businesses and the benefits to contractors of membership with the Landscape Association to further develop and grow the broader industry.
Long standing Association Member, Graham Ross of Better Homes and Gardens, addressed the VIP Guests. Graham acknowledged the founding members of the Association and clearly identified that the Landscaping Industry has dramatically changed over the 31 years of the Association.
From these humble beginnings, the association and the industry has undergone significant change including name changes and membership growth but the original aims and passions for the industry remain true.
"To build, lead and manage relationships to deliver optimum membership benefits"
