This year's International Festival of Landscape Architecture has been announced. Hosted by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA), last year's event saw one of the largest gatherings of landscape architects ever in Australia. 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the festival and promises to be even larger than last year.
Entitled '(Not) in my backyard', AILA has already locked in an exciting array of speakers with more to follow, including Liam Young (a UK-based independent urbanist, designer, futurist and founder of think tank Tomorrow's Thoughts Today), Dr Nina-Marie Lister (Associate Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at Ryerson University in Toronto Canada) and Ellen Neises (teacher of landscape design at the Graduate School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania).
Early-bird tickets are only available for another 50 days so be quick to secure your place; last year's event was a sell-out!
