After six and a half very fulfilling years, I have resigned as Chief Executive Officer of the LNA Master Landscapers Association. I am, and continue to be, a passionate supporter of landscaping and I will remain a stakeholder in the industry. While I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the LNA, I am leaving the position in order to spend more time with my family and to pursue other interests that include a new business I launched this June, Therapeutic Gardens Australia. This business represents a long-held dream and I am excited to pursue this new path with vigour.
I would like to thank the Board, staff and membership for the w
onderful opportunity of holding the position and for the trust and support they offered to me through the time I have worked as the CEO. It has been a great privilege to work with you all on various LNA initiatives and I am confident that together we have truly made a difference to the industry.
Together with the members and Corporate Partners we have worked hard to raise the standards and profile of the LNA and I am eager to see this legacy continued. We have maintained and established a number of strong and mutually beneficial corporate partnerships in recent years and I am keen to see these relationships flourish. We have both grown our membership substantially and have gained national and international traction for landscaping professionals, representing the interests of members on the issues that matter most now and into the future.
It is for this reason that I have been nominated to take a seat on the Board, to help to maintain and grow our burgeoning Corporate Partnerships Program, to continue to offer my expertise on management of the LNA Brand, as well as to ensure a smooth transition to the new management team. I would be proud and honoured to step into the role of Board Member and continue to work with the LNA.
The future is bright for the organisation and I am whole-heartedly looking towards working with the Board and the new CEO to help bring that future to fruition.
Following the election of a new Board of Directors in September 2016, recruitment will commence for a new Chief Executive Officer. If there is anything that you require, the LNA Operations Manager Kimberley Aquilina will be very happy to help and can be contacted on 9630 4844 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Board are actively seeking a replacement CEO who will bring their entrepreneurial skills and sound understanding of the landscaping industry to galvanise and build on the success the LNA has achieved in reaching its goals in recent years. An announcement regarding the appointment will be made as soon as possible. The Board and I will be working closely with the new CEO and we will offer the same support, experience and guidance that has always been the hallmark of the LNA Board, a Board that is closely knit, dedicated and passionate about representing the membership, as well as the professionalism and profile of the landscaping industry.
Thank you once again for your support during my tenure as Chief Executive Officer. I am confident that the LNA is in a strong position and will continue to flourish over the coming years.
My last day as LNA CEO will be on Thursday, 15 September 2016. I will be attending the AGM and hope to see you there.
