A Night to Remember, the 2016 LNA Excellence Awards

Posted by LNA Master Landscapers Association on 30 October 2016

The LNA Master Landscapers Association hosted the 2016 Landscape Excellence Awards on Friday night. Held at Doltone House in Pyrmont, the LNA Awards was a wonderful evening of food and celebration. The Hills Bark Blower kindly provided Tim 'Rosso' Ross, Radio and Media Star and social commentator to host the event. Together with guest speaker Linda Ross from the Garden Clinic, Tim brought his unique brand of humour to the role and had everyone smiling throughout the evening. Having an enthusiastic passion for design, architecture and modern construction, Tim was able to recognise and appreciate the amazing work of our finalists.

The evening was a resounding success with awards being presented for 28 categories across Residential Construction & Maintenance, Commercial Construction & Maintenance and recognising Outstanding Landscaping Professionals and Apprentices. With the outstanding number and quality of entries, Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were bestowed in most categories. This has been without doubt the most successful awards season yet with a greater variation of winners than ever before. Many new members in attendance expressed their desire to enter the awards next year and were impressed by the prestige and honour that winning an award brings.

It was wonderful to have such a mix of youthful and sage experience at the ceremony, with members who have joined this year and foundation members, all rubbing shoulders at this gala event. It proves the depth and health of our incredible industry and of the LNA as an organisation. On the cusp of its 38th year since foundation, it is exciting to see that the future is bright for the LNA and the landscaping industry.

In addition to the Awards, at the close of the evening, our outgoing LNA President, Matt Leacy, introduced the LNA's new Chairwoman for the 2016/2017 Board, Judy Bates. The Awards evening signifies the end of the 2015/2016 Board's tenure with the new Board Members taking up their roles. An announcement will be made shortly introducing your new Board for the year.

The LNA would like to recognise and thank all the corporate partners and award category partners who help make this evening such a huge success and congratulate all the night's winners!
