Are you interested in taking on Local Government Landscaping work? Now may be your chance!
Recently, the LNA have been renewing efforts on behalf of our membership to have businesses and contractors who declare their interest in working with local councils recognised as preferred tenderers for landscaping works conducted by local government. As part of this advocacy, we have moved to more specifically recognise the great work already being done by some of our members working with local councils by introducing the new 'Local Government' category into the LNA Excellence Awards this year. The LNA also recently met with one of Sydney's local councils to discuss how we could facilitate our members becoming preferred tenderers with councils and it was requested that the LNA provide councils with a list of businesses and contractors interested in working with local government so that they may be considered by tendering panels.
So, we are calling on all members who are interested in becoming preferred local government tenderers to let us know. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to have your industry body assist you and your business. The LNA has been working very hard to foster relationships with local government and now may be just the chance you have been waiting for.
The projects that interested landscapers will be considered for range in value from $150,000 to $5,000,000 so it would be helpful if you could indicate to us the project size, capability and value of work you feel your business could handle when you express your interest to us. Also, if you feel that you or your business has specialist areas of expertise, such as playground design and construction, you should mention this as well.
Does this opportunity sound great to you but daunting at the same time? Would you like to put your hand up but feel unsure about the processes and requirements of contracting to Local Government?
We are interested to hear from members who would like assistance to consider the opportunity and the LNA, in conjunction with local council, is willing to run a workshop to answer your questions and enable you to take the step of seeking to become a Local Government preferred tenderer.
We would love to hear from all interested parties so please contact us at:

The friendly LNA staff look forward to hearing from all those businesses out there who feel they might like to take a step up!
