This year, the Hidden Design Festival is celebrating cool climate gardens and will be held in the Blue Mountains for the first time ever!
The annual Hidden Design Festival showcases a number of usually private gardens and outdoor spaces designed by some of Australia's leading Landscape Designers. Organised and run by the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM), the event is open to members of the public but is also attended by many landscape professionals who find the gardens inspiring and enjoy the opportunity to network with colleagues.
The four gardens featured this year are located in Mount Irvine, Mount Wilson and Kurrajong and most have never been opened to the public before. Each garden is uniquely designed and contains a wide range of colder climate plants that can only reach their potential in this type of location and time of year.
This year's NSW event is being held on Saturday 30th April and tickets are only $27.50 for adults (less for horticulture and landscape students). The 2014 and 2015 Hidden Design Festivals were sell outs, with nearly 1000 tickets snapped up for each event. Places are limited so if you are interested we suggest booking quickly. Tickets are available by clicking here.
