FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Charlie Albone LNA Ambassador
The LNA Master Landscapers Association is pleased to announce celebrity landscaper Charlie Albone as an Official LNA Ambassador. At the age of 12, Charlie moved to the United Kingdom and developed an interest in gardening and landscaping. A few years later he began work maintaining the grounds of an English country manor; with no formal qualifications, Charlie learnt his trade on the job and worked for many UK landscaping companies before travelling to Australia on a working holiday. He studied at Ryde TAFE NSW and obtained a diploma in horticulture (landscape design) in 2004 and he started his own landscaping company called 'Inspired Exteriors' and obtained his Landscaping Structural Licence in 2015.
Charlie is best known for making over gardens for houses being sold on the hit series Selling Houses Australia on Foxtel's The LifeStyle Channel. Charlie has also hosted other LifeStyle Channel shows, including The Party Garden, Charlie and the Flower Show and more recently, Chelsea's Greatest Garden. Charlie's landscaping work has also seen him win a Silver-Gilt Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show. The creation of his entry was documented for a two-part television special, Charlie's Chelsea Garden.
Charlie Albone stated that one of the main reasons for becoming an Official LNA Ambassador was because, 'I am passionate about all aspects of the landscape industry and, as a designer and contractor, I understand the importance of quality craftsmanship for the immediate and long term benefits in any landscape project no matter how big or small. Hopefully my association with the LNA will bring some light to the importance of using good quality tradespeople.'
The 2016 Chelsea Flower Show will see Charlie enter again as the LNA Ambassador with LNA member Mick Conway of Conway Landscaping & Design again leading the construction design of the entry.
LNA CEO, Joanne Aquilina, has stated, 'It is a fantastic achievement to have a landscaper of such caliber become an LNA Ambassador. It is such an exciting time to be an LNA member as this will generate huge amounts of publicity for the LNA and its members'.
The LNA Master Landscapers Association was formed in 1979 with an aim to raise the public perception of the Landscape Industry via increased quality in landscape construction works. Instrumental in the development of the first and then subsequent tailored landscape specific Trade and Diploma courses, the LNA was delighted when these courses became nationally recognised. The LNA Master Landscapers Association is currently engrossed in dialogue with government to facilitate furthering career paths for young industry professionals and is committed to the professional training and development of all its members.
