On 21 July, the ACT Branch of the LNA held its annual 'Christmas in July' celebratory dinner. Open to all members, the dinner had over 50 in attendance to enjoy the sumptuous traditional Christmas fare. The LNA Team of Kim, Monique and Daniel accompanied Chairwoman, Judy Bates to make the pleasant journey down to the nation's Capital to spend the delightful evening with our southern colleagues.
The Dinner was held at Rydges Capital Hill, not far from Parliament House, and was proudly supported by LNA Platinum Partner Andreasens Green Wholesale Nurseries. Andreasens Green have expressed a great commitment to servicing and providing plants to the Canberra and Southern regional areas and were excited to be involved. It was also great to see other corporate partners and Sydney members also attend to support this great occasion.
The dinner was a relaxed, intimate affair with all the Christmas trimmings including Bon-Bons and 'bad' Christmas Jokes. After the mains, Judy gave a quick word of thanks and encouragement as well as calling on Andreasens Green CEO, Brett Sargeant to draw some Lucky Door Prizes. Judy then handed over to Brett to say a few words.
Brett gave an inspiring and powerful challenge to the contractor members present to help grow the LNA in the ACT through participation in LNA Events, inviting contractor friends to come along and to get involved and by supporting the local board members, Martin Rolfe and Dan Cusack.
Overall, the Christmas in July Dinner was a lovely evening enjoyed by all and promises to be even better next year. The LNA would encourage everyone to mark it down for the same time next year and to come along.
