New incentive to comply with NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal orders

Posted by Fair Trading NSW on 2 October 2018

Currently, all Tribunal orders issued by the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and their due dates are published on the public register.

From October, orders that are complied with by the due date will be removed. Orders that are not complied with by the due date, will stay on the public register, forming part of the contractor's permanent licence record.

This information will help consumers to get a more complete picture of a licence holder's history, and is one of several changes to make the public register more useful.

Contractors must notify Fair Trading when an order has been complied with on time to have it removed from the register.
