NSW Department of Fair Trading New Complaints Register

The establishment of a Complaints Register has been announced by the NSW Department of Fair Trading recently.

This new NSW Government initiative aims to provide a list of business subject to 10 or more complaints in a calendar month for the benefit of consumers, business and other interested parties who may be dealing with or considering dealing with these businesses. The Department receives over 45 000 complaints each year and the release of this information will help consumers to make more informed decisions about where to shop.

The first Complaints Register will be published in the second half of August this year and will be based on complaints collected in the month of July 2016.
