The 2016 Bushfire and Building Conference and Expo have been announced.
LNA Members who attend this event are eligible to receive Continued Professional Development (CPD) points: 4 points for attending both the Conference and Expo, or 2 points for attending either the Conference or the Expo.
The Conference is to be held on the first day of the event, and the Expo will be held on the following day.
Conference: Saturday, 9th September, 2016
Expo: Sunday, 10th September 2016
The venue for this event is the Blue Mountains Theatre and Community Hub, Springwood.
The Conference portion of the event is specifically designed for builders, architects, landscapers, designers, planners and bushfire consultants and will discuss crucial issues involved in planning, building and designing in bushfire-prone areas. The latest findings from the Wye River Fire and changes to regulations and building innovation will also be highlights of the Conference. Last year's Conference was an enormous success, attracting over 160 delegates who enjoyed the opportunity to expand their knowledge and network with colleagues in similar fields.
The Bushfire Building Expo on the following day will be a professional showcase of leading technology, products and professional services necessary for building in bushfire-prone zones. A Community Forum will be run along-side the Expo and will present essential knowledge and information for residents living in bushfire-prone areas. The Expo attracted over 1500 people last year and was highly informative.
