Supporting and Linking Tradeswomen (SALT): Tradeswomen Australia Conference

Posted by LNA Master Landscapers Association on 30 July 2016

SALT have just announced a unique opportunity for female tradies to meet other tradeswomen, apprentices, policy makers, companies, suppliers and organisations that all have the purpose of supporting women in trades.

The inaugural Tradeswomen Australia Conference is themed 'Jobs don't have a gender, your country needs you' and will establish a foundation of knowledge and recognition of the past and future for establishing gender diversity in trades. Discussion will focus on steps for ensuring that 'trade capability' not 'gender' is what counts.

Event details
When: Thursday 11th August 6pm-9.30pm, and Friday 12th August 8.30am-4.30pm
Where: Wollongong Town Hall, Crown and Kembla Streets, Wollongong

This event is an important step in helping Australia to maximise its workforce and support women in trades. You will have the chance to learn from women who have gone before you and to make strong connections with other women both inside and outside of your field.
