It is with great regret that we advise members of the passing of Allan Correy.
Allan was a founding patron of the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers (AILDM) in 1994, an organisation that has since grown to become Australia's leading association of qualified landscape design and management professionals.
Allan's passion for the industry and for AILDM never waned despite a long battle with ill health, only giving up his role with AILDM when he felt he was no longer able to contribute and fulfil his position to the best of his abilities. His enthusiasm and expertise will be sorely missed by those he worked with and his legacy to the industry will be felt for many years to come.
After a move to Nambucca Heads in recent years to be closer to his son Ben, Allan was required to undergo surgery from which he did not recover.
It is hoped that a memorial for Allan will be held in the Botanic Gardens in coming days and we wish to pass on our deepest sympathy to all of Allan's family and friends.
